In the United States, it’s estimated that around 40,000 veterans experience homelessness on any given night. Many veterans face the daunting task of reintegrating into civilian life with limited support, financial challenges, and mental health struggles, all of which contribute to instability and, in too many cases, homelessness. The impact of homelessness extends far beyond shelter insecurity—it affects every aspect of a veteran’s well-being, from physical health to social connections and mental resilience.

Stable housing is the first essential step in combating homelessness among veterans. Research shows that when veterans have access to safe, affordable housing, their chances of achieving financial stability, improved health, and mental well-being drastically increase.
